Hey, guys hope all is great! I have been in Australia for a week now and its been a really good time. As some of you saw, it took me a little longer than expected to get here in perth I left on the Oct. 6th and got here Oct. 12th haha but it was cool to see how God blessed me during the time of waiting. Being in Los Angeles for 4 nights was an experience of waiting on God and keeping my focus on Him and not on anything else. I was there because I was flying on a Standby ticket and the flights were full. But the Lord just gave me peace and rest during the time in L.A. It seemed like He would send encouraging people my way, one sweet little Christian asian lady that worked for delta found out my situation and told me she was going to pray.
Later on I was blessed to stay at a local church for the last 2 nights because of a sweet connection of people that I know. Then I was also blessed with a new plane ticket on a new airlines that took me to Sydney through Taipei Taiwan. What a blessing our God is truly a faithful and providing God.
Flying through Taiwan then to Sydney then to Perth was a super long amount of flying, I think around 26 or 27 hours in the air! Once again God totally gave me peace and strength for this crazy amount of flying. In the Sydney airport I got the opportunity to share the gospel with a german girl it was good. Once I arrived in Perth the whole school of evangelism which is 7 other people were at the airport to welcome me and take me to the base. As a school we have really bonded well together. The Youth With A Mission base here in Perth is a great place also the people seem to really love Jesus and people its a really family like atmosphere.
The school of Evangelism that I am in right now will have different topics each week with different teachers. Along with the teaching we will I think go out on the streets of Perth 3 times a week and have times of evangelism/ministry to people. This past weeks teaching was good and full of truth, it was on the nature & character of God. Powerful stuff. The whole YWAM base went on evangelism Thursday night throughout Perth and as separate groups throughout the city God did some great things. My school leader Danny was with a group of us walking back and as we walked over this bridge there was guy standing there with the tragic evil thought to maybe jump. But Danny went over to him and talked to him and the guy ended up hearing Danny’s testimony and walked off the bridge with money that Danny gave to him and went home. Since then he has been in contact with the guy. God saved this man’s life.
Friday I had a cool time with during our street outreach as we prayed together I felt the Lord’s leading about what to do. And because this leading I went and talked to this guy from Philippines about the Lord and got to pray for him and now we are facebook friends and I think we will hangout later. After that I felt led to mcdonalds so me and my partner went there and through what I felt like a God connection we saw the people we needed to talk to there. It was group of around 5 Aussie teenagers, so after eating an ice cream cone we went to them and shared the glorious good news of Jesus Christ and you could totally tell they were impacted. God is good and is on the move to redeem the world. Lets move with Him.
